Zagreb Staunton pieces no.6 ebonized.
The Zagreb model are luxury pieces, replicas of the model used in the candidate tournaments played in the old Yugoslavia, in the 50s and 60s of the last century XX. In the Staunton n.6 standard, and weighted in its base, these pieces are a delight.

Position Yourself: Kere against Fischer in the Candidates Tournament
The tension is in the air, everyone watches interestedly the crucial match. Spassky in a lateral analyzes the position, while Keres, one of the so-called kings without a crown, plays against the future world champion, the very young Bobby Fischer, who among all the masters will be the one who will play against the reigning champion.
Petrosian, Larsen... all the players who marked an era in chess used these pieces.
Stauton 6 weighed pieces
If you thought they were chess pieces destined to be behind a showcase, you are wrong. They are manufactured following the Staunton standard and a weight has been added to their base to give them great stability and aplomo. Their main use should be classic rhythm games, since you will not want these wonderful pieces to end up rolling around the floor with a blow when you play at one minute, right?. They are made to play, but to play WELL.
Ebonized, What is That?
The ebonized black pieces are made of the same wood as the white pieces, but are dyed to imitate ebony. That equals their beauty, but it does not make them as expensive as if they were made of the same ebony, which is a considerably more expensive and scarce wood.
