This complete training course covers all the key topics of chess: the opening, tactics, variant calculation, strategy, positional play and endings.

The course is divided into three different series: Fundamentals, Intermediate and Advanced. It contains examples, exercises and solutions ordered by topic and by level of difficulty, thus providing the reader with the perception of the coach at home.

The fine hand of the incomparable Artur Yusupov is felt in every explanation and every solution. This work will not only allow you to progress, but to enjoy moments of true chess pleasure. Artur Yusupov has been a Grandmaster since 1980 and Senior Trainer of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) since 2005.

He was World Junior Champion in 1977; he was three times in the semifinals of the World Cup (1986, 1989, 1992); twice in the European Cup. He was once world champion by teams and five times Olympic champion with the Soviet team, German champion 2005 and champion in the European rapid games in 2005.

For many years he played on the first board of the German national team and helped him win a sensational second place in the Chess Olympiad in Istanbul.

In 2009 FIDE recognized his work as a teacher by awarding him the Boleslavsky Gold Medal, for the best chess instructional work, ahead of the works of Mark Dvoretsky and Gary Kasparov.
