Reviews by Revi

In every chess match, the center of the board has a great tactical and strategic weight, since it represents the area from where it is possible to reach the greatest number of squares. Its control gives decisive advantages in the opening, in the middle game and in the end, and from here, its importance. This book contains two different approaches to the topic: the classic, which will provide the reader with fundamental knowledge and help him understand this concept in the development of the game, and a dynamic vision carried out through the eyes of a great master that will allow him to understand the logic of the control of the central squares.

Adrian Mikhalchishin has been a Grandmaster since 1978, a senior FIDE trainer since 2002 and President of the FIDE Instructors Commission since 2009. He trained Anatoli Karpov during the matches with Gary Kasparov and later specialized in the training of female chess. He has written many chess books and not a few articles for different specialized magazines. Georg Mohr is a Grandmaster since 1997 and a senior FIDE trainer since 2004. He was coach and captain of the Slovenian national team from 2003 to 2010, and since 2011 he has been coach of the Turkish national youth team.
