Ocachess was created out of the need to find effective educational resources for teaching chess to the youngest children. Ocachess combines the popular, simple, and fun game of the goose, with the king of games, the ancient game of chess.

The child obtains a series of indisputable psychological benefits through the game: it stimulates reasoning, increases creativity and memory, creates an environment conducive to exercising concentration and decision-making, etc. Ocachess brings the educational and psychological benefits of chess to a new scenario, a new game, with fun feeding learning.

There is a false belief that chess is a very difficult game and that its learning is reserved for privileged minds. Nothing could be farther from the truth; chess is a game with a special attraction for children, a small two-color kingdom resembling life itself. However, the task of transmitting the essence, beauty, and fantasy of chess to a child is not easy. Based on our many years of experience in chess teaching, we consider it essential that the child enjoys, has fun, develops their abilities, learns the rules of chess, and perceives their progress in the most popular board game. Learning by playing, that is, progressing without hardly realizing it.

Chess, the most famous and exemplary of the games, is a magnificent tool for children to develop sociability, abilities, and control of their emotions. Chess gives us the same lessons that life gives us, that is true, but they are much more useful, since they are repairable; we correct the error in subsequent games. In chess, a peculiar justice reigns: dedication, healthy learning, understanding of the game and its laws, ends up bearing fruit, in the form of victories, but above all of moments of delight.

We want to emphasize that chess is also a sport, a noble contest between two players. The moment a child perceives that chance does not intervene in the game, that one can trust their own calculations, decisions, and thus moves, is simply wonderful. At this point, it no longer makes sense to attempt to deceive
