Walnut
Walnut wood gives the board a hue ranging from light brown to dark chocolate color, and the whiteness can have seemingly grayish tones. It is one of the most preferred woods of dark tone by many professionals and carpenters.
The characteristics of walnut wood are many, and very well considered: medium hardness, great elasticity, it is heavy and its straight fiber. This makes it very sought after in quality carpentry, so you will see that the price of these chess boards is slightly higher than other woods.
DELUXE Finish
In this finish, the edge (outer edge of the board) is wider, which makes it easier to visually center the playing area and gives a lot of feeling of amplitude, a thing you will appreciate in time.
