This beautiful board is made of Wengue wood, and finished in the Deluxe series, with the widest contour and a very fine matte finish. The white squares are made of Sicomoro wood.
This board is available in two sizes:
- Squares of 50 mm - for Staunton n.5 and 6 pieces
- Squares of 45 mm - for Staunton n.5 pieces

Wengue
The Wengue wood is of great quality, but one of its disadvantages is its scarcity, which makes it a wood with a higher price. Despite this fact, due to its weight and hardness, it is considered that Wengue is very suitable for carpentry works and allows very fine finishes with a great duration.
The color of the heartwood of this tree goes from dark brown to black, with a straight fiber, which gives it a very characteristic veining. A curiosity is that, unlike other woods, this darkens when it does not receive much sunlight.
DELUXE Finish
This finish has the outer edge wider, similar in size to a square, which visually facilitates to center the playing area and gives a lot of feeling of space, something that you will notice immediately as a plus every time you analyze a game.
