Reviews by Revi

The end is the most complicated phase of a chess game. It is the stage where there are more subtleties and where mistakes are more expensive. In this book, the great master Eduardas Rozentalis analyzes the most important aspects of this transcendental phase: The connection between the opening and the end, the assessment of the moment to make the changes, the battle between bishops and horses, the decision to simplify or not..., among other issues.

Throughout the book the author suggests in which cases to resort to pure calculation and when to rest on previous experience. Rozentalis presents innumerable examples that come from his own experience, and he guides the reader and offers him the solutions. This work is highly recommended for all players of medium level and even for those coaches who wish to study a little deeper and understand the end.

The chess baggage of the great master Eduardas Rozentalis is immense: champion of Lithuania twice, champion of young masters of the former Soviet Union three times, world champion of young people in 1985 and world absolute champion by teams in 2004.
